Last year I mentioned that Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy would be turned into graphic novels. Each book will be made into two graphic novels (the same has happened with Twilight) and the first part of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will be out in November.
A special preview edition has been released, showing a few of the pages (drawings but no words) and I was able to download it at Edelweiss.
From Vertigo: "Crime author Denise Mina will write the book, with the cover image created by Lee Bermejo and art from Leonardo Manco and Andrea Mutti."

Karen - Thanks for this news. Mina has a lot of talent so I'll be interested in seeing how this all turns out.
I find the image rather distasteful. In an era where there is great concern about the modelling world and fashion industry and the promotion of the ridiculously thin (leading to anorexia and related), this does not help.
@crimeficreader
If you have read the original novels, you will know that Lisbeth Salander is supposed to be anorexic. I think that was so not because he wanted to make her look sexy (every characteristic of her was seemingly constructed to be the opposite of what the society associates with a good beautiful woman) but to give her a deceiving appearance of weak and defenceless.
