After answering a question on rec.arts.mystery about the Hop-Ciki-Yaya series by Mehmet Murat Somer I went and had a look to see which were available in the US and found that these two had been published by Penguin USA. The covers are slightly (!) different to the Serpent's Tail ones...
The US on the left and the UK on the right. Which would make you more likely to pick the book up?

Actually none of those covers would grab my attention. But you have reminded me I have one of those in Mt TBR :)
I actually agree with Bernadette; neither set of covers really appeals to me. If I were forced to choose, though, I'd say the UK covers.
Almost none of the above. The odd thing is that the UK Kiss cover and the US Gigolo cover both give me a first impression of old-style hard-boiled American, of which I am not a fan. The US Kiss is rather good, the UK Gigolo blah.
Not a huge fan either, but I prefer the US versions - they are funnier, or more outrageous. I wonder if the people who create the covers read the books first?
No pink covers for me if I can help it. (But then I probably wouldn´t like the taste of Turkish delight either ;))
I think the green one is old-fashioned but funny; I might take a second look at that one.
