Barbara Cleverly - new series update

Last year Barbara Cleverly, author of the Joe Sandilands series, began a new historical series featuring archaeologist Laetitia Talbot starting with The Tomb of Zeus. At the time there was no UK publication date, however UK fans will only have to wait until September when it's published by Constable and Robinson. (C & R are also reprinting the paperbacks of the Sandilands this June.)
Meanwhile over in the US, the second in the Talbot series, Bright Hair About the Bone, will be published in October.

Hi,

I've been reading Alexander MCcall Smith series...
"The No. 1 Detective agency" & 2 other series of his, so my husband thought I would rather enjoy your Detective Sandilands series...which I love.
I would just like to make one suggestion.
It was very difficult to find out where to start.
I know the books all tie in but it would have been great to have an idea which book to read first.
thanks Irma

Hi Irma, you can find a list of the Sandilands books in order on the Euro Crime website - http://www.eurocrime.co.uk/books/books_by_barbara_cleverly.html. I try and read in series order wherever possible. So far I've only read #1 The Last Kashmiri Rose which I really loved.

Irma,

My book club just read The Last Kashmiri Rose by Barbara Cleverly. I agreed to review the book for the group but have failed completely to locate information about the author. She apparently has no website. Other than her Ellis Peters Historical award and the fact that she teaches or taught at Cambridge and Suffork, I can't locate anything about her. Can you point me in the right direction? I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Bettie

She used to have a website but it is now sadly defunct. Her UK publisher, Constable, has a small amount of information - http://www.constablerobinson.com/?section=authors&author=barbara_cleverly.
