It seems that the mass market paperback release of Camilla Lackberg's
The Gallows Bird on 15 March 2012 will be titled
The Stranger. NB This title precedes
The Hidden Child in the series (
listed and reviewed here). Published on the same day will be
The Drowning.

A more comprehensible title but unforgiveable by the publisher (unless they also put "previously, The Gallows Bird" under the new title on the cover!).
I agree, shocking behaviour on the part of the publisher! It would put me off buying the book - it has put me off!
