So what are your thoughts on the US (LHS) and UK (RHS) covers? Which would entice you to pick the book up if you were not familiar with the books of Alan Bradley?
If you have read it, how well do the covers match the story?

Karen - Oh, I really like this feature of yours :-). I like the UK cover choice better. Something about it seems to suit the time and place...
I have only a vague idea what the story is about so going purely on eye-catching-ness of the covers I think the audio version does it for me, followed by the US print. I do love that colour
They are all nice, I think - good design, which stands out. I like the US cover best, but don't know if it reflects the story better or worse than the UK version(s).
I love the US covers, but think the UK has a classic feel and I think this series will become a classic.
I have only read the 1st one so far but the covers are very fitting, the colour of them suits that Flavia is a child and the picture on this one I think sets the tone for the suspense in the story.
Typically, I like UK covers best. But in this case, I prefer the US cover.

I'm not sure which I prefer to be honest! My copy of the book arrived this week and I can't wait to read it :)
U.S. cover without a doubt; mustard color plus feel of an antique-like design, a classic.
As an illustrator who works on both US and UK covers I prefer the UK version. Not knowing anything about the book I would be more likely to pick up the Uk version whatever the book was about. I have recently worked on the same cover for a book for US, UK and Holland and they all wanted different ideas- I call it tomatoes!!
They are all nice, but I like the US cover choice better.
