The successful ITV series Scott & Bailey starring Suranne Jones and Lesley Sharp, returns with a new series of eight episodes, starting (I believe) on Monday 12th March on ITV1.A month later, on 12 April, Cath Staincliffe's prequel to series one, Dead to Me, is published by Corgi.

Cath Staincliffe is no stranger to tv work as she is the creator of the hugely successful Blue Murder series and also novelised two of the episodes.

Thanks for the news. I enjoyed series 1. Not sure about the book though. I did see the first episode of Blue Murder recently and thought it utterly formulaic and uninteresting. I got a shock when I saw from the credits who wrote the script! Though I did think her last (?) book, Witness, was very good.
