Thanks for that notice. I brush up against historical crime fiction in one of my recent posts: "Beyond Borders? What About Writers Who Cross Them?"

I loved the two Lindsey Davis stories that I read, but I didn't get far with the one Falco novel that I tried. Her touch is so light and her research so good that the story was distracting me from the detail, or maybe the detail distracted me from the story.

I have that lingering prejudice against historical fiction. You know: "One morning in the Middle Ages ... "

So, talk me out of that prejudice!
