This week's selection for "cover opinions" is the US and UK covers for Stuart MacBride's Blind Eye.
So what are you thoughts on the US (LHS) and UK HB & pb (RHS & Below) covers? Which would entice you to pick the book up if you were not familiar with Stuart MacBride?
If you have read it, how well do the covers match the story?
Read the Euro Crime review by Craig of Blind Eye.

I think I prefer the one at the bottom but not sure why - having a look at craig's review maybe the US one is more relevant??
Karen - I don't, usually, but this time, I prefer the U.S. cover. The dark colours give it a more moody atmosphere...
Well, I presume a chair or sofa (can the publisher decide which?!) comes into it somewhere ;-). As covers go I prefer the US cover but I don't know how relevant it is to the book's contents. I don't think I'll be reading it, based on the one MacBride I read - too much on the gruesome end for me.

I agree with Margot on the U.S. version. And I think the PB version is dreadful! But then, I haven't read the book so maybe it perfectly reflects the story... in which case, I'm not reading it.
Mmmm. No, I don´t like any of them so I would only give this book a chance if I knew the writer beforehand.
Not having read the book yet, I can't say which fits the story better. Not keen on the US one. Oh, it's a street. How thrilling. The UK ones have a similarity. Are soft furnishings very important to the story? Or was the cover designer just feeling like a nap?
I really like both UK ones. If forced, the bottom sofa wins. What's that blue thing on the other UK one, by the way? A car jack?
