Life returns to ITV3

The bad news is that quirky cop show Life starring Damian Lewis has not been renewed but the good news is that here in the UK we still have the 21 episodes of series two to watch. The run begins on 3 June on ITV3 at 10pm. (Repeated on Friday 5 June at 9pm). The official ITV3 website is here but has not been updated yet for the new series.

Catch up with series one on DVD.

Life on FX and DVD

I'm going to have a second attempt at watching Damian Lewis's Life, having failed miserably with the ITV3 run.

FX UK will be showing the first of the 11 episodes of Life on Tuesday 10th February at 9pm. It is repeated the following Thursday at 11pm (and probably more times later in the week!).

The FX website is here.

In addition the DVD has just been released, currently £16 on amazon.co.uk.

Life to be shown from 30 October - ITV3

Confirmation in the Guardian that Damian Lewis's Life will be on ITV3 next week:
ITV3 is to launch its biggest ever ad campaign to promote the UK debut of Life, the US show starring Band of Brothers actor Damian Lewis as a cop readjusting to life after 12 years of being wrongly imprisoned.

The marketing push will include a TV promo, which will run on ITV1, ITV3 and ITV4, as well as a wider press and poster campaign.

This is the first time in ITV3's four-year history that a TV show has been promoted using commercial advertising space outside of the broadcaster's own airtime.

A poster campaign will kick-off next week in London and the south-east, followed by press ads in seven national and two regional dailies that will appear the day before the first double bill of Life airs on ITV3 on Thursday October 30.

Damian Lewis's 'Life' coming to UK TV

Last year I mentioned Life a US cop drama starring Britain's own Damian Lewis. Only a few more months to wait until it's on ITV3, according to Digital Spy:
The eleven-episode first season - NBC has already given the thumbs up to a second, by the way - will play out on ITV3 this summer, then air on FX (and the highly-anticipated FXHD!) from next January.
I think we need another picture...

The official NBC website is here, chock full of full episodes, videos, photos etc.

Damian Lewis to star in 'Life'

Digital Spy have rounded up the new shows from NBC:
New dramas for 2007-08 on the NBC schedule are Journeyman, a new Monday night series which NBC's Reilly said received some of the highest scores in internal testing the network has seen "in years"; Chuck, a comedic spy-thriller from The O.C.'s Josh Schwartz; Bionic Woman, a remake of the classic 1970s series starring ex-EastEnder Michelle Ryan; Life, a new crime drama starring Damian Lewis as a "complex" and "offbeat" detective; and Lipstick Jungle, a dramedy following the story of fashion magazine editor Nico, played by 24's Kim Raver.
Hollywood Reporter noted back in December:
Damian Lewis has been tapped to play the lead on NBC's drama pilot "Life."

Sarah Shahi also has been cast in the project, from writer/executive producer Rand Ravich and NBC Universal TV Studio.

"Life" is a quirky drama about a former cop (Lewis) who rejoins the force after having spent years wrongly imprisoned. Shahi will play his partner with a checkered past.

David Semel is directing the pilot and is executive producing with Ravich and Far Shariat.
The Damian Lewis website has even more about the series including a photo of the actor in uniform.

Lewis joins the list of British actors playing American characters on tv, he's already used the accent in Band of Brothers and the (dreadful) film Dreamcatcher.
