Take a Chair II - cover theme
I mentioned a few titles like this back in 2008 but the trend for chairs on crime fiction covers continues with these being published in Jan-May 2011 (includes 1 reissue):
Vanda Symon's latest Sam Shephard tale (which I've just finished reading an ARC of - it's terrific, the best yet in an already-excellent series) likewise features an empty chair - quite the striking cover too (especially for a NZ one - our covers are often a bit humdrum, comparatively).
I love them. There is something desolate about a chair in grungy room

The names of the authors are almost as suspect as the images on the book covers.
ReplyDeleteIs there a factory out there churning this stuff out for the proles?
