This week's selection for "cover opinions" is the US and UK covers for Kitty Sewell's Bloodprint.
So what are you thoughts on the US (LHS) and UK (RHS) covers? Which would entice you to pick the book up if you were not familiar with Kitty Sewell?
If you have read it, how well do the covers match the story?
Here are the Euro Crime reviews by Maxine and Amanda.

I'm not keen on the US cover. I don't tend to like books with mysterious tiny figures in the distance, and this one looks as though she's just about to be beamed up to the mothership.
The UK cover is intriguing. Are those cleverly arranged human thighbones, photographed from a distance? Or tiny little chicken bones photographed from close up?
I'm not sure either cover would tempt me to pick the book up, but I would be more likely to pick up the UK one. However, maybe that's because I'm a bit peckish. I now really fancy a nice bit of roast chicken...
The RHS has a darker feel to it, so I would go with that. LHS has a more conservative, softer feel to it.
I have never read Kitty Sewell and must say neither is terribly compelling but I am a bit sick of the lone person with their back to me so I'll go for the UK one as the slightly more interesting (not sure what it actually is though - bones I suppose)
Karen - I like the UK cover a bit better. I think it's because it looks a bit less "stereotypical." That's just my first impression though...
I can´t help it; I always go for the bare bones! (Chicken or not)
I'm in Canada and we got the US cover. I like the UK one better, much more eerie! I read this way back at the beginning of last year so the story is hardly fresh but the UK cover certainly suits the Santaria theme better.
I prefer the US cover - although a little cliched, I find the bones cover a bit too same old same old - a lot of the pb covers are like that these days, generic gross out halloween style.
I'm not crazy about either cover. The U.S. cover is too bright and almost gaudy for the mood, the U.K. cover too ghoulish and eerie for me, but then again, many mystery readers are attracted by those covers, so, go to it!
