ReplyDeleteSome strong reviews here - I am looking forward to Bloodland. I think Sarah Hilary's review is particularly strong, I have given up on this series now after having enjoyed it at first, and I know what your reviewer means about the strong moral but perhaps one-sided stance! In the 2nd and 3rd SS books there was a post-Freya woman who seemed to have attracted SS's attention, but from Sarah's review, clearly no longer...he is a bit Peter Wimsey-like!!
ReplyDeleteI've just read The Unlucky Lottery for crimesquad. I liked it but thought the references to the 1990a a bit odd. I would have edited them out I think.
