I felt less alone in my grief. I am lucky to have had 15 years of her company. We also have a 16 year old, two 10 year olds and a 9 monther to cuddle, which also helps.Karen (Euro Crime)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03678348280806062648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32065323.post-84363194339208615432007-10-27T20:18:00.000+01:002007-10-27T20:18:00.000+01:00Yes, Karen, I add my sympathies to everyone's. Our children aged 30, 24, and 22 still talk about the death of our beautiful King Charles spaniel Lucy fifteen years ago.
I sometimes think that Lucy understood me better than the human inhabitants of the house.
You have my sympathy for your loss.Uriah Robinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02046023583067265187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32065323.post-27670726644300288502007-10-26T20:59:00.000+01:002007-10-26T20:59:00.000+01:00Karen, I'm sure your intuition and ability to care...Karen, I'm sure your intuition and ability to care meant that she did not suffer in life.

It is so sad to lose a pet. "Pet" even seems a badge of disrespect sometimes, where our "pets" are so much part of our families; if only those who threw out the term with abandon could come to grips with the reality of that furry creature as a stalwart part of the family.

I'm sorry to hear of Cadgy's death and you have my sympathies.

Take your time, Karen. It all takes time, for someone you love - homo sapiens or furry creature. The FCs can sometimes leave the HSs wanting, such is their ability for unconditional love (ongoing provision of food aside).

But you have to have that FC to know what life with the FC entails.

Cadgy will be an immense loss right now and you have my sympathies.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
